My PC broke couple days ago and, right now, my only option is to format and install everything from scratch.
Couple month ago I downloaded Fedora Linux. It sounded like a good startup for newbies that have never ran Linux before. So I did... Unfortunetely, something went wrong and I had to format my HD.
Right now, since I don't have anything to lose, I'd like to install [Fedora] Linux on my PC with Windows XP Home. Here are couple questions that I have:
1. Which one should I install first? Linux or Windows?
2. Can [Fedora] Linux access NTFS partitions?
3. Is it safe to install both on the same HD?
4. Anything else that I should know before doing this?
Thanks. I'm not a complete n00b to PCs... Just to Linux
Here's my PC:
-No operating system-
Albatron K8X800 Pro 2 with 1.06a BIOS motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (ClawHammer)
1024 MB DDRAM (512MB of 3200 and 512MB of 2700)
Gigabyte NVIDIA 6800 128MB DDRAM OC 360MHz proc 730MHz mem
Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM Hard Drive w/8 MB cache
350 Watt Power Supply
5 case fans / runs cool
