amd athlon 64 processor

DFI all the way. Asus sucks although I hear they are good for Intels still.

Tech support is non existant unless you speak taiwanese.

This isn't even a competition, this is a slaughter. DFI is in a class of it's own

The best AMD boards are made by DFI and the best Intel boards are made by ASUS.
Abit is a close second for both I think.

Man, this thread makes me feel bad. My new comp has an ASUS A8N-SLI Delux mobo paired with an FX-55. Hope it isnt bad.

theres nothing wrong with the Asus a8n trust me lol.. but the DFI is better. thats all.

Asus isn't horrible... just don't expect the performance you get from a DFI.

I've heard good things about Asus sending you new boards if the one you get breaks.

DFI can just overclock more. That's the main reason. If you're not planning on overclocking, asus is fine.
