Slightly crucial issue here:
I've got an employee with an HP Pavilion zv5000 notebook. It came with 512mb of RAM, and we recently put in another 512mb chip (absolutely identical chip) into the second slot, to bring the machine up to 1 gig.
Ever since, the machine has randomly rebooted. The employee can work for sometimes 30minutes, to as long as 3 hours, and then bang, it reboots.
I'm running a mem check on the system, and it turned up several failures:
MATS+ : Failed
INVC : Failed
LRAND : Failed
Stride6 : Failed
WMATS+: Failed
So, bad RAM?
I haven't checked the RAM timings yet in the BIOS, but since they're identical chips, I doubt that could be the problem since the previous chip worked just fine.
