There are a lot of people that can afford that. People buy Alienware ALX systems all the time and they have starting prices around $5000. Yet the cases for them are usually always on back-order because there is a lot of demand for them.
But all of those people wouldn't be spending their time on these forums lol. Because they don't care about overclocking, tweaking, computer technology or any of that crap. They just buy the top of the line stuff all the time, which means they don't need to worry about it.
The thing is whether they suck or not they will sell. Intel could probably release a new processor with "new and improved hyper-threading ultra extreme" and sell 2,000 chips before the media or websites or anybody notices that it's the exact same processor with a new box.
