btw, get the winchester and then wait for dual core, that's a good idea

yea i was thinking about it and decided

get a 3800 with ALL my money... and have an outdated piece of crap when dual cores come out.

or spend some of my money and when i have an outdated piece of crap, upgrade to a dual core.

i think ill spare myself the bruieses from kicking myself later.

edit: just realized; maybe you'll want a stronger psu b/c dual core needs twice the power of a single core Cpu

btw, get HL2, it comes with counter strike source, which will last you years (literally)

and wait until june and get battlefield 2

oh also, is it worth it to get the thermaltake venus 12 for an aftermarket cpu heatsink?

oh, and the zalman 7700cu is much better, but it costs more

Both of those games are good. But Doom 3 will play better on your system (nvidia card). Half-life won't play as well on that card.

Don't get me wrong it will play fine, I mean just not as well.
