I just wanted to know on ur thoughts of this PC. My purpose of this PC is for mainly gaming so is it good enough under a bugdet? Or is their room for improvement?

ASUS P5GD1 915P MOTHERBOARD
INTEL P4 3.0GE (LGA775)
1024MB DDR400 DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY
160GB 7200RPM HARD DRIVE
MSI GF6600 PCI EXPRESS 256MB /TV OUT
LG 16X DVDRW
1.44MB FLOPPY DRIVE
10/100MB NETWORK CARD ONBOARD
8 CHANNEL SOUND ON BOARD
DELUXE P4 ATX CASE WITH 400W PS
MICROSOFT KEYBOARD
MICROSOFT OPTICAL MOUSE
ALTEC LANSING 2.1 SUBWOOFER SPK

this is just $1300 CDN total

You can DO ALOT better for the money, this is what I did at XMAS for 1300 CDN - speakers and mouse. AMD hold the advantage at gaming as well

AMD 3400+ SKT 939
XFX 6600GT AGP (almost doubble the speed of normal 6600)

Asus A8V, you can go with a PCI-E mobo and card now

2x 512 meg PC3200 Ultra (elexir) ram in Dual Channel

Thermaltake TD-420AD

Raidmax 868 Case

Didnt get optical drives as well :/

Now you could build my setup quite a bit cheaper. Also you will most likely want a better power supply for the one above.

Are you comfortable building your own PC? If so we can do alot better, for alot cheaper

Their is no such thing as 6900GT, but if you mean 6800GT it's better than all of those cards

EDIT: Cost me 1300$ like I said, and it's a much better PC

Dj-Chris, did the $1300 you spent include tax? (15%). Also, where do you usually buy your components from?

That included tax, but not 15%

You only need to pay 7 (or is it 8) % when you order out of province. I order from compu-best.com tigerdirect.ca and ncix.com

Where are you located? NCIX.COM is a great western based PC store that you dont get charged PST from and they have great shipping rates.

I am in TO man. Yeah I checked out ncix (but have never bought from them yet tho). I usually try to buy from local shops so I can actually visit there in case of problems and also not pay shipping for RMAs. :)

Heard some bad things about tigerdirect.ca (not .com) and how they ***** when u try to RMA something. NCIX is cool in this respect? I heard they have a price matching policy too... Never heard of compu-best.com...
