Leaving computer on?

I've been leaving it on 24/7 for quite a while now, but I can't understand how anyone can leave it on for over two weeks like you guys are talking about. My record is about 8 days. After that, the lag is unbearable.

Use Linux, then you can run it for years.

You should only care about leaving your PC on and crap like that if you plan to keep it over 10 years.

But, think of your hydro bill. 10 years of leaving a PC on, you would pay more in hydro than the PC.

Computers these days are disposable. They're always coming out with better and faster stuff that 2 years is a long time to keep your computer.
