ive found a card i wanna buy.. but theres something i dont get

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=1&submit=Go&description=N82E16814142009

- says its 256bit ... BUT when u click on more details.. then it says ITS ONLY 128bit!!..somebody please help me!maybe im not seeing something.. or i dunno

what do u guys think about this

Don't rely on newegg's details too much - sometimes they can be a bit off (for example, I purchased a GF4 Ti 4200 card a while back, in the specs, it was stated that the core and memory were 225 and 500 MHz, respectively, when in reality, when I got the card, it was actually 250/513).

The chip itself is 256-bits (as well as the memory bus width), however, the only thing about 128-bit is the memory bus on the R9500/9600 series (which doesn't apply here).

Ah, I misread you post.

The last link you provided will be more than enough to play those games you requested, so I would go with that.

Another card that offers excellent performance is the RADEON 9700 PRO (whenever getting a Radeon, make sure it's the PRO series) and it's under $300

one more final question.. what should i go with.. ait radeon 9700pro or 9800pro ..i think 9800pro has more features .. and its faster...

just tell me what card would u guys prefer to have?

If you have the money then definately go for the 9800 PRO.

I have a question slightly related to this.

Will a Connect 3D 9600 PRO , an athlon 2700+, an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard and 512MB Crucial 3200 DDR RAM with my existing components a SB Live! Value sound card and 30GB (5600rpm? maybe, not 7200rpm) HDD run games like HL2 and doom3 comfortably will pretty good detail?

Thanks :beard:
