One of the main benefit of those defrag program is the speed of the defrag program. They are a lot faster than the one that comes with windows and you can actually perform a defrag before Windows actually starts. That way you can defrag your MFT (master file table) and the page file. These 2 files cannot be defragged when Windows is running.
