Processes

hi there
looking at my task manager i have noticed that i have quite alot of processes running 72 actually! and i have downloaded software to try and rid them i use Tuneup Utilities 2004 and i try to delete these processes but when i go back on it there there again!
i cant maange to get rid of them
any help?

use msconfig if XP

Get Ad-Aware and Sypbot Search and Destroy to scan your computer for viruses and spyware etc. 72 processes is waaaaay to many!!!

I agree 72 processes is way to high.Run some spyware removal programs and let us know how many after that.

i used the utilities program again and then i restarted the computer and it now has 57 is this better?

It should be a bit lower, your on the right tracks.

Go to START/RUN/ type MSCONFIG/ go to the startp tab / click DISABLE ALL/ leave your AV on / REBOOT.
