welp it looks like your in luck, did sum searching found a benchmark of someone using a 3800+ in a dfi mobo, so im assuming it should work. only one actuall way to find out, Try it

Test System: AMD Athlon 64 3800+, 1GB DDR RAM CAS 2, Chaintech GeForce 6600 GT SLI and Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT (67.66), 36GB Western Digital Raptor.

So if indeed the mobo will work with the 3800+, then I think the best bet would be to exchange the video card. Would this be a good option? This will work with the mobo, right?

Just received word from DFI that the boxes were printed before the 3800+ cpus were out, but the mobo definitely is compatible with the 3800+
