I installed a SCSI adapter card in a friends computer that is running Windows 95. The card was originally in that computer and worked fine. After I put the card in the PCI slot and booted up I installed all the right drivers and such, but the OS will not recognize it. The card is well seated in the slot. I was grounded with a wrist strap when I was installing the strap so I don't think ESD is the problem. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure the card supports Win 95? I would try uninstalling it and then rebooting, I haven't used 95 in a while so I am at a loss of how to do this.

you'd also have to have drivers for any devices used via the SCSI card
does it show up in device manager?

You don't require seperate drivers for scsi hard drives or CDROMs normally.

Do you know if the card is bootable (ie has a bios?)
If you don't know, post the card model number etc
