Computer restarting itself automaticly

does sound like the power supply, but I wouldn't rule out the motherboard either, something is triggering the power supply to turn on, either a fault with the motherboard, the PSU, or both (have you tried updating the bios?)

OK I think I got it, I went to the ASUS FAQs and got this http://www.asus.com/support/faq/qanda.aspx?KB_ID=100092104 gonna try it now.

Stupid question... how do u update asus bios? Put the .ami file on a floppy and boot from it?
