monitor problem

Help!!!

brand new gateway computer, 2 year old LDC monitor, winxp.

leaned on keyboard by accident and monitor went dark. rebooted, restarted, turned on/off, tryed everything and nothing makes the monitor to display.

connected monitor to my laptop and it works find, but back with the pc I get nothing, will only see the windows logo when computer comes on, then it goes dark again.

any suggestions.

I dont believe its a monitor problem. Verify physical connections of keyboard or monitor are OK. Try to relpace the keyboard and see if keys on the keyboard are stuck down....this can cause you computer to not post or boot up properly.

Try clearing the BIOS. I'm sure pressing a few keys hasn't done any permenant damage.
