Error message

When I boot up my computer I get the following error message "The file OLEAUT32.dll file can't start. Check the file to determine the problem." I can't access the internet but I do have an internet connection. Can someone please help out with this. I appreciate any help.

Should I replace it with another one I d/l from the net?

What OS are you using?
has somthign changed since the last restart?
This file has somthignt o do with MEssenger if I recall.
did you install that?
