Error message

When I boot up my computer I get the following error message "The file OLEAT32.dll file can't start. Check the file to determine the problem." I can't access the internet but I do have an internet connection. Can someone please help out with this. I appreciate any help. Win98 se.

PS...I tried doing a find on my computer but I couldn't find it.

Copy it from your 9x cd and put it back into your %systemroot%\System folder. Then register it with the regsvr32 oleat32.dll command from the run box or dosprmpt.


Just to clarify, you are sure you mean oleat32 or is it supposed to be oleaut32?

I just have a restore cd..will that do? It is the OLEAUT32.dll. Sorry about that.

Can I d/l it from here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?oleaut32

and then place it in c:\windows\system32\OLEAUT32.dll
