I am going to be working in a few differnet offices for the nest few months for a few different comapnies. At the moment I am without a laptop and a PDA. I have a 512mg jumpdrive that I can use. I would like to be able to keep my outlook accessible to me if possible. I also do a lot of research on the web and was wondering if it was possible to have a browser run from a jumpdrive? Possibly firefox or opera?

Also is it possible to run exeem or azureus on one of these drives?

If you use outlook that comes with office and not outlook express, you can copy your PST file to the flash drive and as long as the systems your working on have the full version of outlook you can access your PST file from it.

What I've been toying with is using BartPE and/or Windows Ultimate Boot Disk in conjunction with a flash drive. BartPE is a modified version of Windows XP that can run from a CD, and you can install a bunch of applications to run. It's set up to use DHCP to connect to the network and the Internet. That way, you can run your own applications and desktop from any computer that can boot from a CD without having to install anything on their computer. Add the jump drive, and you can save documents, email, etc.
