Geforce FX vs. Geforce 4 vs. Radeon 9700?

Not sure how we got off the topic of which card you should get. The 9600 Pro is a good card, but you can save yourself some extra $$ and get better performance if you can find yourself a 9500 Pro. I've seen a few out there still. For the most part, not only is the performance better in a 9500 Pro, it can also be over clocked to 9700 - 9800 Pro ranges.
 
for p2p the best one out there now is DC++ from sourceforge, it's a bit more advanced than casual user is comfortable with and you will need to use port forwarding. same thing goes with edonkey2000. do not use the lite/ earlier versions of those like overnet and neomodus DC, they are crap.

you actually need to do a firmware hack to enable the factory disabled rendering pipelines on the 9500 pro. Also, the fact that the card is damn near impossible to find at the prices the 9600 pro sits at makes it a card not worth searching for.
