I currently have Windows XP & would like to install Windows NT . Not partition but, install NT alone. The system wouldn't allow me.
Can someone guide me step by step how do I install NT only.
Thanks

Get a boot disk -- windows 98 will work. Then format your drive(s) using FDISK. Once that is done, you should be able to install NT. One thing I will tell you though is that it's a really good idea to download and burn all of the updates and patches you can find for NT, because once you get it installed, you have to have up-to-date browsers to install any updates.

Good Luck.

That is an EXCELLENT point Guy! Great Post,, in the fresh install form,, you are soooo way behind in service packs, Internet Exploder version, security etc,, that you are unable to run the updates at the M$ site,,

Make sure you have ALL service packs ,, and a version of at least 5 of IE,, prior to the reinstall,,

Good Ole NT,, :)

cheers.
