Metal Flaps?

On my motherboard on the I/O ports and on the I/O back plate there are little metal flaps that fold down over the ports, doesnt cover them though. Anyway am I suppose to cut these off? My manual doesn't say anything about them. I wouldn't care but it they prevent me from lining my motherboard up with the spacers on the case.

I had a bit of trouble getting my motherboard in, it just needs a bit of a push.
