For some reaon I am no longer able to view the help files that normally pop up when I press F1. I have no idea what cause this or when this started. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Occasionally. At the moment, I'm trying to learn 3D Studio Max 7 and the tutorials are in the same format as the help files so I can't vew them right now.

I'm not sure what the format the help files are in but chm files dont work either. When I try to open one I get an error message:

"Cannot open the file: mk:mad:MSITStore:C:\[file name].chm."

sumÂ’n mightÂ’a takeÂ’n over your chm files. try this;

-Open up windows explorer
-go to [Tools]
-pick [Folder OptionsÂ…]
-then pick the [File Types] tab
-scroll down to the extension that says [CHM Compiled HTML Help file]
-then click the [Advanced] button
-under actions, click [open]
-then click [Edit] button
-the [Application used to perform action:] field should say ["C:\WINDOWS\hh.exe" %1]

sum'n else you can try is to open up dos and run [SFC /SCANNOW]

I wasnt able to find out what fixed the problem but it doesent matter now since I did a reinstall of Windows to update to SP2. Thanks for the help anyway.
