How many artifacts is too many?

I use ATI tool to overclock my Radeon All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro and I manages to get the core to exactly 400.50 and the memory to 340.62. (Default core was 378 and memory was 338) But when I overclock the core to say only 5 higher and then scan for artifacts it says it finds 1 pixle the has an artifact in it. I cannot even see the artifact, so can I overclock it more until I start seeing them and then just bring it down a few notches or what?
