N npp Baseband Member Messages 62 Apr 7, 2005 #1 My sister recently bought THE SIMS 2 from outside the states. The cd isn't recognized by her computer at all, a dell, however it CAN be read by both of my computers... Anybody know why this is happening?

A aquascor Solid State Member Messages 7 Apr 7, 2005 #4 ok listen go to registry editor HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} just delete the upper filters and lower filters and also uninstall the drivers of DVD CD drive in device drivers
