quick question about decibels

I was just wondering about the amount of noise my computer will create, I have no Idea about decibels. I am putting 6, 120mm 14db fans in my computer, does this mean that the total amount of noise generated will be 14db or 88db?

sound levels are logarithmic, ya it means it cumulative, but it may not sound that way when mounted in the case sitting on the floor running

decibel levels like I said are logarithmic, meaning they dont increase in a linear fashion, they go in jumps of orders of magnitude based on base 10

well, the human ear can only hear from about 21DbA upwards
your fans won't combine their much of noise to make more, there are just more sound waves all with a low amplitude (higher amplitude = louder)
and occasionally some of the sound waves will combine, but not many will
