The company I work for recently bought me a "Gateway 504GR".
Unfortunately about 15 days after I got it the harddrive went corrupt and I had to call tech support and have them send me a new one. In the meantime I went and bought another harddrive and installed it. It took me a while to find some of the drivers but I eventually found them on the www.intel.com site.
Unfortunately I still haven't been able to get my sound to work. Intel's site (http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-009244.htm) says "The base driver for Intel High Definition Audio is now a common operating system driver provided by Microsoft*. This provides some benefits compared to previous models, most importantly stability." But it is not working.
In the new harddrive I've installed XP Pro SP2, other than that the specs are listed on the 504GR page.
("Gateway 504GR")
Please help me find this!
P.S. Under Device Manager and "Other Devices" I have "PCI Device"
