Help!

Hey guys I have been trying to save some cash to build a computer for a while and I have 900 right now. I have been researching some components and I have heard Asus motherboards are the best, and that AMD chips are better for gaming (which i plan on doing). But I do not know what modle numbers and brands to get. If i could get some suggestions on parts (keeping within the 900 budget) it would fantastic and much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, i was reading some other posts and saw a suggestion for a 1037 dollar computer, a little out of my range. I was hoping to get more ram and less of a graphics card (1gig of ram), And the 900 is for the TOTAL cost.
