DVD Prob

can some one help. i was playing games using my dvd drive, and the thing froze. The drive wouldn't open up, so i manually opened it took out the cd and shut it. The computer now doesn't recognise the dvd player and theres nothing i can do.

When it randomly does something like that, the drive is toast. It's MUCH cheaper to buy a new one than repair it.

i doubt its a gonner, coz the whole systems only bout 4 months old. if i manually open it and insert a cd it will try to run and makes a whirring noise, but nothing happens

meh, probably a bad drive; things can mess up in any amount of time

i had a fairly new comp a while back that fried my D2 LoD cd

well you can always buy a new one, since you're a millionaire
