i would like too know what is the best socket a cpu heatsink. and athor quick qustion is the xp mobile cpu soket a and where can i find it at.

I can't suggest one to you. The one I usually suggest to everybody is not for Socket A. :p

Check out the Zalman CNPS7000b-AlCu and CNPS7000B-Cu.

The all copper(CU) may perform slightly better but the fact that
it is nearly twice as heavy makes the ALCU a better choice.

If the ultimate in cooling is what you need then you should look
into water cooling but for HSF cooling these Zalman perform quite
well.

Im not ready for water cooling just yet, my Zalman CNPS7000b-alcu
keeps my AMD Athlon XP 3000+ cooled just fine so I have no info
to offer on water cooling. If you run stock you wont need it anyway.

You can find the Zalman Coolers at www.newegg.com.

Look under Heatsinks & Fans. Then search for Zalman.

The Atlon XP specs say that a 300g or 350g is the max HSF weight
to use so that is why I use the copper/aluminum at 458g over the
700+g all copper unit so be careful.

well one is it very easy to install and which one is better the CNPS7000b-alcu or the CNPS7000-bu

Dark_Sniper.

Like I said I think the 7000b-alcu is the best choice because
the all copper(CU) doesnt cool much more to warrant the extra
weight of the HSF-nearly double. I read atleast 6 reviews
from reputable sites that said the alcu(copper/aluminum)
is overall the better choice and after installing it I agree.

Follow the product link from newegg and make sure your
motherboard is supported. Zalman also has a brief movie
showing how to install the HSF. Watch it and decide if you
can install it. I found it to be very easy but you do have to
remove your motherboard out of the case but I needed to
do some cleaning so it didnt matter to me.

I liked it for its ease of installation, relative quiet, and cooling capabilities. Overall much better than the clip-type HSF which sometimes can lead to damaging the CPU or Mobo if you apply
too much force during installation.
