Bought some 512 pc133 168 pin sdram over ebay. Doesn't work on one chipset (Asus CUV4X Apollo Pro 133z) but does on another (Intel 810), which recognizes it as 128mb. Contacted the seller and complained about not receiving the proper amount of ram. After giving the chipsets that the ram was tested on, they said it registered on the Intel board at 128 because it is high density ram on a low density board. I thought high density ram would register 1/2 of the total memory when used on a low density board, but 1/4? Is that right? Can a 512 stick be recognized as 128 on a low density board? Or are they screwing me with a 256 stick that is being recognized as a 128?
