im now looking at the 6600GT. i have a Chaintech motherboard. do you think it would make any difference if i got a chaintech card as opposed to one of the other brands??

of course not

haven't heard a lot of things about chaintech, but some people have been getting good OC's with them

I bought a chaintech FX 5700...first one died within 2 months, RMA'd it, got the new one back last september, now that one is already dying, it's the reason I got the 6600GT last month. Never will I get chaintech again.

accually one of my friends tested a x600 pro with 256 and a x600 pro with 128 meg ram, and 256 performed better >.>

Well so you know the x600 is absolute crap. The 6600GT can perform quite on par with an X800pro...

For $180 you can't beat it.

I was actually looking at that exact EVGA card. Yeah that card looks good... if i had a spare $180 to spend, i think this is what i would spend it on. i guess i'll add that to my wishlist
