OK, changed my mind

Gonna go with PCI express for a video card. Guess I will just sell the 9800 on ebay to recoupe some of the cash. Which card would you recommend and which motherboard??

And thank you very much for the replies.

diablo

Noticed you recommended the DFI lanparty board. By reading the comments ppl are bit#$ing about the connector you have to have coming off the power supply. Is the blue storm power supply have a 20 pin connector?

Thanks in advance

that's because some people are dumb and want to go cheap on the power supply, they can't even spend few more dollars to get a quality power supply; instead, they spend $20 on some unrealiable generic crap while spending $800+ on a new computer

both the ocz modstream and the fortron have 24 pin connectors (24 pins are the ones you want), fortron are just rebranded pcp&c's, so you can trust them

Took your advice...

On the video card and here is what Im gonna get. Ordering tomorrow. Whatcha think? Does the processor come with a decent fan or should I upgrade that as well? Any recommendations on that? Thanks again for all the help.

wow, nice comp

if i remember correctly my dfi mobo (same as the one you're getting) came with the power splitter for SATA, so there's no point in getting it, but that's just according my memory

Done..

Looking forward to seeing how it runs. 6600 pcie didnt show up on that last build but thats the card coming. That splitter came free with the hdd, so I figured why not.

Thanks for all the help

Steve
