Disk Clean up

hiya

ive jusut used disk cleanup on my computer, and it takes a while to find out what to clean up

this is due to it searching for files to compress

Will compressing effect my computers performance becasue i dont ever compress my files but it still finds out which files i can compress.

is there a way to make it not search for files to compress, becasue i dont use it anyway.

Do you mean Compress Old files? I have never had a problem with it but if you dont what it to scan just untick the checked box then click ok.

It means files that havent been used will be compressed, but if you need to access them then their still accessable. Dont be too worried about it.

its mainly when i go to the properties of the C:/, hen i want to do a disk cleanup. It takes ages to look at compressing files when i never want to compress them

can u turn it off (Checking for compressing files)
