No I have played around with my RAM a lot on 3dmark. Between 512 and 1gb is DOES matter. Between 1GB and 2GB for me there was no difference. In real wordl gaming and multitasking there is noticeable improvement with 2GB, but not as far as 3dmark is concerned, unless you are being a noob anyway and running a bunch of crap in the backround during the test... But yes between one stick of 512 and 2 sticks of 512 there is quite a good difference. Not sure how much if you compared 2 512s, to 2 256s.
