serial ata (getting it to work)

i have a mach speed k-18p mother board using xp home and it has an onboard sata controllor but i cant seam to get it to work the drivers tell me to find a device in devicemanager called (Other devices/Mass storage devices) it dosent exsist if any one has any suggestions or has this board running sata plz help...

the drivers for SATA should have been on a CD that came with the motherboard which also have the motherboard drivers on it. if not you can search for the manufactueer's website and they may have the drivers for you to download. you got this motherboard from tigerdirect.com?

i have the drivers on the cd but i have to find the other devices mass storage devices in device manager which isnt there i checked the web site to no avail any more tips...
