My boot time is only hmm...2 minutes

Are you using an alternate shell? Typically those miss passing Windows some signal that it's ok to go to desktop. I had this issue with litestep and blackbox. Also, check your hdd light, if its on while it appears to be hanging, especially if it's flashing iregularly, then it's a good bet it's services, drivers, or virii/spyware/adware doing it (probably something fixable). My comp sits for about 7 seconds while booting up on the boot screen with no acsess or anything Probably SP2.... *pukes*

one thing that will help with speeding up boot time is running Checkdisk once in a while. Checkdisk will clean up unneeded and invalid indexes in the file system that cause the computer to run slower than it should. This is somethign you should try and see if it helps...
