Windows XP already on another H.D.

What would happen if I installed my other harddrive with Windows Xp to Another computer say with changes such as From 533MHZ to 800MHZ-from 256SDRAM to 384SDRAM.Might there be a activation problem?Hard Drive would be the same.

You wanna move your HD with Windows on it to another computer? I think Windows might go a bit wierd, wanting re-activation and new drivers and other stuff it wouldn't understand. It's not been designed to do that.

If it were that simple, we'd all be doing it. As m3trj pointed out, you will have many conflicts with the new hardware. Back up the files you want to keep, wipe your drive and reinstall XP once the drive has been placed into the new PC. Your PC will thank you for it.

Thank you for your help.I will just reinstall it on the slightly upgraded computer and it may be ok.I have a legal upgrade of Xp.
