...To PCI-E. I'm getting a Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, and an Asus 6800 GT (256mb) to go with it in a few days.

It's going to leave me broke, but at least my machine will be a bit more future-proof (or at least for the next 12 months lol).

I don't understand why you would do that now if you already have an AGP 6800GT? Why not just wait until you need to upgrade your video card then make the switch?

good choice in stuff thats a good board same i have:) sux that ur going down though:( i have same card as u currently do but in pci express

yeah cause there is no point with the stuff u got u would be downgrading just for pci express which you can just get later:p

If you're upgrading to PCI-E then consider getting a better video card. Sell your 6800 GT AGP and motherboard and upgrade to an x850xt or something like that.
This would be a good idea.

Or if you could afford it maybe a full-fledged x850 xt pe.

GAH. Let the man have his kick@$$ 6800GT, he can even add a second one

The asus boards today are buggy, with their SLI board being very buggy. I would suggest looking at DFI's and MSI's offerings.

SLI is terrible, he should just get a powerful RADEON. Oh and you quoted me while I was editing the second link, I accidentally linked to the x850 xt pe AGP version instead of the PCI-E version that I now updated. I don't think the x850 xt pe is really worth the extra cost over the x850 xt though. I think the the x850 xt for $445 is a really good deal. More powerful than a 6800 gt or ultra.
