Ok Continuing the build. Well shoot the heatsink gave me troubles and I felt like I had to apply more pressure than was necessary. Whew. Nothing is going right on this build. Well it is my first. Ok next issue. Now that I have applied My heatsink/fan with thermal paste on the bottom of fan and top of chip now I want to move on to the memory. Ok then These are my components:

MoBo:

Memory:

Ok so my question is what slots do I set the mem chips into? Check out the links for more info. Also looked at my mobo docs and it told me to set my multiplier? Someone please explain this. Help I neeed a guru!

you really need to read the mobo manual but it should say on your mobo. there is probably 2 channels, a and b, make sure its in a and make sure its the one closest to the cpu.

Read the ENTIRE manual atleast once before jumping in any farther....

But i think the 2 closest slots should work unless its Dual Channel RAM...

I believe on that board you want one stick in the 1st slot and another one in the 3rd slot.
But don't worry you can't screw this up. Just try 1st and 3rd and boot up the computer. Then download CPU-Z:
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Then open up CPU-Z and under the "Memory" tab you will see a spot that says "Channels #"
If it says "Single" in the box, then shut down your computer and change the stick from slot 3 to slot 2. If it says "Dual" then the RAM is in the correct slots and you are running in dual channel mode.

As far as setting your multipliers goes, I would just leave them at default for now until you want to start overclocking. For the LDT multiplier you will want 5X. For the HTT/CPU multiplier you will want 9X ( I think).

Good luck.
