Hey everyone,
I've recently been having alot of problems with my DVD-RW/CD- RW drive. It is giving me error messages and not writing properly. When I try to burn a DVD video it does not play on DVD players but it plays on computers. Is this normal? Also, I'm using DVD-R in a DVD-RW drive. Does that make a difference? Also, when I try to burn a CD by doing the standard drag and drop then clicking burn these files to CD, it says that the files are too large to fit on CD when it's only a few megabytes! Please help I'm getting very frustrated. Thanks.

sounds like bad software

DVD's for video playback in a DVD player use the UDF file format, if it isnt formatted properly it wont play, cept in a computer

regula cd's use the iso9660 format or music cd format

not sure what you need to do differently, dont ask me for software, Im not a windows user, my tools wont work for you

you can go here to learn about video stuff:

Also check how fast your hard drive can sustain (whatever amount of MB/s)
If its too slow, it won't work.

Nah, you can burn DVD's and Cd's with 10 year old hardware, ive done it, even a pentium 100 with a 1Gb slow as hell hard drive can burn cd's
