I need a new PC and I know their are about 500 posts about this and i'm sorry but I did find one that fit me, so heres the budget
1,500 at most, but I need everything, power source and everthing, I mean I do have tons of parts but I want evrything new, could you have it all from the same site, I think newegg would be the best but whatever you guys think, i'm open
thanks a lot for the help and try to keep it about 1,000 but you can go over
Thanks

And I do want lights and those things, but not too much

And I don't think I need A Screen I mean I will get one but since their bug I might but it from like circut city

No Joysticks, or any of that and all I need is about a 60GB HD and and 20GB HD or a 40 and a 20 not like 120 and no floppy

well I don't play games but I might want to try but I just want A really fast comp that will stop breaking on me like my dell 2400

You don't realize how you just opened yourself up for an onslaught od advice, do you?

"Brace yourself, Effie!"

300-watt ATX PSU: $50
Athlon64 3200+(939 pin): $187
Asus A8V Deluxe: $100
512MB PC2700 DDR: $54
16x DVD-ROM: $20
Samsung 3.5" 1.44MB: $8
60GB 7,200 RPM HD: $45
17-inch CRT: $130
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB: $150
Saitek Cyborg evo joystick: $40
Logitech X-230 (2.1): $41
Standard Keyboard: $15

Grand total WITHOUT SHIPPING COSTS: $866

i took this almost directly out of the last PCGAMER issue. i seriously suggest you tweak this set-up. all these prices are from pricewatch.com, but the newegg costs shouldn't be TOO much different.

thats in your $1,500 window, but again, thats not shipping costs.

damn, i love my digital camera!

yeah thats true, but people should be civil about giving advice, i mean you can disagree but it can be done in a civilized manner. with that said I going to put my two cents worth in.

This is probably what I would go with:
Antec Neo Power 480W 130.00
Western Digital SATA 120GB 90.00
Corsair XMS PC3200 2x512 165.00
AMD 64 3200 939 Socket 190.00
MSI K8N Neo4 PLatinum SLI 180.00 (maybe try SLI in future?)
EVGA 6600 GT PCI Express 180.00
I would go with 6800GT
Logitech 2.1 Speakers 45.00
Logitech Keyboard/Mouse bundle 31.00
1011 right now but you need drives ( i dont know if you want cd/dvd burners) a case and a monitor, if you want gaming go with crt if you are stuck in a small college dorm room get a LCD unless you want your whole desk to be nothing but your monitor, keyboard, and mouse! The case is really up to your personal preference. if you have money at the end, you could get a 6800GT instead of 6600 GT or SLI two 6600GT's. Should asked this at the beginning but what are you using it for?
