If he doesn't want to overclock diablo, it will be fine. Thought personally for a more powerful system such as that I would make sure to get the xms corsair ram for the CAS 2 latency and platinum heat spread spreads.

yea he'll be fine but it just seems like such a waste to use value ram on such a nice comp

The RAM is Corsair XMS series, PC 3200, 2-3-2-6 T1. Its the RAM out of my existing computer. link

I'm debating the purchase of some of the XMS, PC 3200, 2-2-2-5 RAM. Its another $250. I wonder if i would notice any difference. link

Actually, i paid more for my existing RAM. (almost $300)

Ah exactly the type I was thinking about, that is very good ram. I got 3 gigs total of that stuff, I just love it. 2 gigs in my Intel PC and another gig in my AMD. I wouldn't spend the extra money on the slightly lower latency. Your current ram is great.
