switch the asus mobo for the DFI SLI one and get an eVGA 6600gt instead, also i'd reccomend getting a 120 or 160 gb hard drive and getting a gig from corsair instead... sooo...

YA but will it work with my computer case????

I would get the x800 xl, it is a lot more powerful than the 6600 gt.
It has 16 pipelines and 256mb of GDDR3 memory. It's the best bang for the buck video card on the market right now.

This is an excellent deal right here:

Also for your hard drives instead of getting one big 200gb I would get 2 80gb and RAID 0 them for a lot more speed and almost just as much storage.

Get two of these and you will be extremely happy:

^one of the best hard drive deals right now imo.

Your ram looks decent if you aren't planning to overclock. If you are I would recommend some better corsair or OCZ ram for that.

Also get the DFI board like everyone is suggesting. I guess you can't go wrong there.

:D

ohh but dude i already bought my case! but the psu can be changed out which i plan on doing.

is 20 bucks a big loss for you? if so then don't worry about just by as many fans as it takes and stack a few of them to.

yes get a better psu though, the one i mentioned about is solid.

Um, that X800 is NOT the best bang for the buck. The average 6600GT is under $200, while that X800 gets near $300. You could ALMOST get an AGP 6800GT for that price. The X800XL is a high end GPU, where the 6600GT is mainstream and value based.

You won't get a better buy than the 6600GT, that X800 is a little more than $100 MORE EXPENSIVE. Stick with the 6600GT, it IS the better buy.

As for the components fitting into your case, yes, they WILL fit.
