i purchased the following mobo:

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum nForce4 Ultra Athlon 64 Skt939 DDR ATX Motherboard

the site i purchased it from says this item requires an ATX 2.0 compliant power supply. I don't even know what that is. Would someone please give me some advice?

I would like to get one of these:

power supply link

I found a picture of the motherboard and the atx connector is a 24 pin connector. Just find any good brand psu with a 24 pin power supply.

I bought a 550w antec true power supply, its a 24 pin connector. Even though I dont have a 24 pin motherboard, this is the way that all new motherboards are going. To anyone buying a new psu, get a 24 pin one and an adapter if you have a 20 pin mobo.

I havent heard of it being called atx2, but the 24 pin psu should be what it needs.

diabloII, and what makes an atx2 what it is?

a regular mobo is atx 1.x and has a 20pin connector to the mobo

a pci-express mobo is atx2.0 and has a 24pin connector to the mobo, since it needs more power (the 4 xtra pins deliver more)

Thanks for all the replys! I got one on order for my new rig.

new rig=
MSI NEO platinum soket 939
AMD 3500+
X850 Video card
Corsair RAM (512 x 2)
