Hello i am new to these boards and am finding alot of useful info on them. Thanks everyone. I am 15 and building my first pc. This is how it looks:

CPU- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProdu...ufactory=BROWSE
HARD DRIVE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProdu...ufactory=BROWSE
MEMORY- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProdu...ufactory=BROWSE
VIDEO CARD- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProdu...ufactory=BROWSE
CD/DVD- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProdu...ufactory=BROWSE
CASE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProdu...ufactory=BROWSE

How will this compare to my current computer a dell 2400 p4 2.2 ghz, 256ddr, 40gb 7200rpm and basic everything else? I am on a budget. It will be a everyday computer and a gaming but not extreme gaming. Games such as swat 4, battlefield:1942, call of duty, gta, ect. Thanks for all of your responses!:D

Try posting what each part is. Not the whole description but manufacturer and model plus needed extras (MB, GHz, Watts, stuff like that).

Works a lot better for evaluation purposes than links.

Swat 4 will be pretty demanding. This computer is definitly a lot more powerful than the one u currently own. However, I might up the memory to one gig and see if you can shoot for a GeForce 6600 GT. if you cant, not the end of the world, but it would be an immense improvment.

so overall will this be a decent/good gaming machine for the games above and everday computing? this will be my first build so i want to start off easy and not too expensive. also this will be alot better than my current computer correct?
