Im trying to install a video game that says "C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application" and it says Close or Terminate

What do i do Im rinning XP home on a gateway and enough Memory and everything i need (or obviously not)

What game are you trying to run and how old is it? You may need an older machine such as a Win 98 as Win XP is not compatible with rather old games ;)

I've had this problem before. I just don't remember what I did to resolve it. Must have done something right, since I got it to work, though.

The links I provided tell you how to run applications [ such as games etc ] on XP acting as if it were Windows 95 etc.

Right click the EXE of the game and select the compatibility mode, then pick what OS it would be compatible with ie:95,98,ME
