Scart to PC

Hi,

We have this sedcurity camera which is connected to a video recorder via a scart lead.

I am looking to start recording to hard drive....is there a scart to pc lead /scart to usb

Is there something i am missing totally...ie would I need a tv card.

Hello,

It is possible to hook up your security camera to the PC, either directly through s-video, composite or the security camera hooked up to a VCR, then to the PC via s-video or composite.

For this, you'll need to purchase a TV-in card (TV Tuner Card), then use a scart to composite or scart to s-video adaptor of some sort to hook up the VCR to the PC, or if possible, directly from the camera to the PC.

Another more expensive method is to purchase a product something similar to this: Belkin USB VideoBus II.

The product allows for a straight USB connection to s-video, composite and left and right RCA audio.
