In windows xp my friend is having this problem where every time he boots up it goes to that screen and he has to click windows xp, is there a way i can/he can get that screen gone? Well, i know there is,i told him how b4, but i forget now because i dont use windows xp anymore. Your help is greatly appreated.

ok go into msconfig and it should have a boot.ini tab (msconfig can be accessed via start->run->msconfig) should have an option for time and to maybe disable (not infront of my machine which has xp im at work so cant say for sure....will check when i get home)

usually normal but if you make any change in msconfig it will then default to custom

if normal doesnt work then there is a conflict going on in the startup group tab.....no no msn or aim here at work when i get home i can but that wont be for like 1.5 to 2 hrs
