 okay so i went to go look at how amd cpu's run there ghz compared to the number in front of it. so i'm looking and i figure that 2800 is 1.8 ghz. 3000 is 2.0 ghz...well i stumbled across a 3000 clocked at 1.8 ghz...what gives?

i'm not mixing up the 64's with the xp's. i think you may be right by diff core.

You are mixing up 754 3000+ which is 2000Mhz to a 939 3000+ which is 1800Mhz....Both the same in the end...939 actully faster because of dual channel ram, improved core, does more per Mhz ect. :)

MasterJason, your sig is too long
anyway, that's correct. the socket 754 3000+'s run at higher frequencies to the socket 939 3000+'s because socket 939 has better technologies, and mkes it faster

ahhhh well thanks guys...that helps what about the 4000+ running at 2.4? is that a core issue then?
