Hey!

I was just reading online about how ATI's R520 video card chipset, and the talk about it was that it would be "Longhorn Compatible". Does that mean if I spend 6+ grand on a system now, it won't work with Longhorn?

Please tell me all your opinions!

i doubt it. businesses would be really unhappy if they had to upgrade all their systems to move to longhorn.

You prolly have to wait for the manufacturer to create/release a new driver tho.

Then do you think its worth it to wait until there are products designed for Longhorn?

There is nothing wrong with XP. Wait till Longhorn comes out, then for all the updates and service packs to come out. Then upgrade your o/s

I am not going to install Longhorn on my current system. I will install it on my next, upgraded system. XP works fine, and don't plan on upgrading until I really need to.

Yeah, I plan to upgrade after 6 months perhaps, once it has gotten a good foothold, and most applications are Longhorn compatible.
