Wierd mouse problem

I have a scroll button located in the middle of my mouse and I have it set for a "back" button. It works fine but each day I have to go into my control panel and set it everytime I use my pc.

Why is it not saving my settings? I hit apply and it saves until I reboot. Is there some kind of other setting I am missing? Thanks

Have you set your mouse driver to start up with Windows? I had to use msconfig and set the drivers on my mouse (an IBM wheel mouse with an extra button on the left side) to load if I didn't want the default configuration.
